Wonder Woman Costume

Mia is 2 this Halloween, so still a little young to pick her own costume. Johnny, my 4 year old, decided to assign her, her costume this year. Since he wanted to be Spiderman this year, she had to be a super hero too. So Wonder Woman it was.

Spider-Man Costume

As my sewing skills are improving. It is opening up a whole new world of crafts. I am a huge fan of Halloween and have great childhood memories of costumes, trick or treating, and halloween parties. So now that I can sew, I decided to jump in and make costumes for the kids this year. Johnny wanted to be Spider-Man. I took to Pinterest to look for inspiration and found a tutorial from a blogger, shannonmakesstuff and also a great blog, dana-made-it, which had tutorials and patterns for standard t-shirts  and pants for kids.

Halloween Witch Wreath Tutorial

In addition to the kids halloween costumes, I also made this wreath. Well parts of it anyway. I had seen some beautiful wreaths this year online with funny little witch legs hanging off them, so I decided to take inspiration, give it a shot and make my own.

Mia's Ladybug Birthday Party

I wanted to give my little Mia a great first birthday party, one that suited her well. It was pretty easy choosing the lady bug theme for her. She is a sweet little girl. I loved the contrast of the black red and white. Not too frilly and girly but still cute and feminine just like her. I started to design an invite and everything else followed suit.
